Join the next GRANULAR Knowledge Transfer Accelerator webinar.

The Living Labs (LLs), established under the GRANULAR project, are actively utilising innovative tools to collect and analyse data, ultimately enhancing decision-making processes and management systems in rural areas. This initiative is designed to bridge the gap between advanced technological solutions and real-world rural challenges, ensuring that cutting-edge innovations are both accessible and beneficial to rural practitioners, policymakers, and stakeholders. By fostering a collaborative environment, the project seeks to strengthen local capacities and support evidence-based rural development strategies.
GRANULAR currently operates seven Living Labs across Europe, located in France, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. These initiatives function within a range of geographical and socio-economic contexts, reflecting different demographic, geographic, and governance characteristics, thus ensuring that insights gained are widely applicable across European rural areas.
This upcoming webinar will serve as a platform to disseminate the tools and methodologies developed within the GRANULAR Living Labs. Building on the project’s Practice Abstracts, the event will offer valuable practical recommendations and insights tailored to rural practitioners, aiming to enhance their capacity to integrate novel data-driven approaches into their work. Additionally, the webinar will emphasise the crucial role that Living Labs (both those under the GRANULAR project and similar initiatives beyond it) play in driving transformative change in rural regions. By showcasing real-world applications, success stories, and lessons learned, the event will highlight key takeaways and best practices emerging from the Living Labs’ efforts. These insights will particularly focus on the use of innovative data methods to inform policymaking, optimise resource management, and strengthen rural resilience.
This webinar follows the first GRANULAR Knowledge Transfer Accelerator webinar, titled "Living Labs in Rural Areas: HOW TO?", where participants shared their experiences, successes, and challenges in setting up and implementing Living Lab initiatives. By fostering dialogue and collaboration, the session aims to inspire further innovation, encourage knowledge exchange, and support the continued development of data-driven solutions for rural communities across Europe.
