International LEADER excursion

From 17 to 19 June 2024, we are inviting representatives of LEADER regions from Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium and Austria to the Salzburg LAG Lebens.Wert.Pongau-Tennengau. The focus will be on regional mobility solutions, and sustainability in tourism including certification of tourist destinations and the innovative production and distribution of farm products.
Every year, the networking centres of Germany, Luxembourg and Austria jointly organise an ‘international excursion’ to innovative LEADER projects in one of the three countries.
From the practice of a LEADER Model Region 2024, the ‘International Excursion’ takes us to the Salzburg LEADER region Lebens.Wert.Pongau-Tennengau. The local development strategy (LES) contains four fields of action: value creation, nature and culture, public welfare and climate protection. The LAG Lebens.Wert.Pongau-Tennengau has already initiated and supported the implementation of numerous interesting projects in this area and will report here on LEADER practice.
Successful LEADER projects and the people involved are made ‘tangible’ as part of the ‘international excursion’: in addition to the field visit, the project managers are available to share their experiences.
The thematic focus will be on regional mobility solutions, sustainability in tourism including the certification of destinations and the innovative production and distribution of farm products. A visit to the SciEnnsPark STEM laboratory promises to be very interesting: the STEM initiative (short for maths, informatics, natural sciences and technology) opens up new perspectives for children and young people when choosing a career. Another highlight will be the visit to the former Hohenwerfen fortress.
In addition, there will be a guided tour through the castle, a bird of prey flight demonstration and a festive evening.
