The GRASS CEILING Final Showcase, on 4 December 2025 in Brussels, highlights women-led innovation in rural areas and celebrates achievements across Europe.
The GRASS CEILING project is drawing to a close, with the Final Showcase Event on 4 December 2025 in Brussels at the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), where we will present its key outcomes and celebrate innovations led by women in rural areas.
This flagship event will bring together researchers, practitioners, policy-makers, innovators, and stakeholders interested in gender, rural development, and sustainable innovation. The programme includes project presentations, panel discussions, knowledge exchange sessions, networking, and award ceremonies. The Final Showcase will also serve as a platform to share the project’s findings, tools, and policy recommendations developed over its lifetime. It is an opportunity to reflect on learnings, disseminate achievements, and build momentum for future gender-sensitive rural innovation initiatives.
Key moments will feature the Rural Women Innovators (RUWI) and PARCA Awards, recognising and supporting outstanding women-led socio-ecological initiatives in rural areas. Winners will be invited to present their work in Brussels, with travel and accommodation covered. GRASS CEILING has been guided by the conviction that rural women’s contributions to farming, rural economies, and community innovation remain underappreciated. Through collaborations among 25 European partners, the project has supported women innovators, analysed barriers, built capacity, and mobilised networks to amplify visibility and impact.
We invite all those committed to inclusive, sustainable rural futures, women innovators, research institutions, policy-makers, funders, and civil society, to join us in Brussels. Together we will spotlight achievement, spark ideas, and forge partnerships for lasting impact beyond the project’s life.
