The Agricultural and Rural Inspiration Awards (ARIA) 2023 celebrate CAP-funded projects that are boosting skills for agriculture and rural areas through lifelong learning, innovation and competitiveness.
This year marks the 5th edition of the competition, which, since 2019, has been highlighting the most inspiring rural development projects co-funded by the EU.
Experts have selected 24 projects under four thematic categories related to the objectives of the CAP. Now, it’s your turn: the Popular Vote is open!

During the ARIA ceremony on 4 December, in Brussels and online, we will unveil the five winners of ARIA 2023: four thematic winners (one per category), selected by the jury, and the winner of the Popular Vote.

Smart & competitive agriculture
CAP-funded projects that contribute to a smart, competitive, resilient and diversified agricultural sector ensuring long-term food security.
Treated wastewater for subirrigation
Reusing treated wastewater to combat drought and improve groundwater levels.
CAP-funded projects that strengthen environmental protection, including those that enhance biodiversity, tackle climate change, demonstrate sustainability and/or contribute to green recovery.
