Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs) bring together IT suppliers, farmers, foresters, technology experts, investors and others, using digital technologies to ensure the connection between Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and farming, forestry and rural communities. DIHs lead to the development of new applications that are adapted to real needs from the field.
National and regional authorities can play a key role in encouraging DIHs to be set up, and in creating a regional innovation ecosystem.
