Highlights report - 2nd meeting of the Thematic Group on CAP Strategic Plans: Monitoring Committees

The second and final TG meeting built on the activities of the first TG meeting, providing space for exchanges on key topics identified during informal discussions held in between.

This event was an opportunity for TG members to hear the outcomes from the survey of Managing Authorities regarding the setting-up and functioning of CAP Strategic Plans (CSP) Monitoring Committees, alongside the headlines from informal meetings.  

TG members engaged in meaningful discussions to identify how to enhance the Monitoring Committees' impact on CSP implementation and explore the significant potential of National Networks in ensuring a wide range of stakeholders contribute to CSP implementation.

Overall, participants acknowledged the networking and new connections enabled by the TG and the valuable discussions. The meeting offered a broader perspective on good practices across the different aspects of Monitoring Committees operations while participants also offered suggestions for their effective functioning.
