The second round focused on factors enabling the effective operation of Monitoring Committees.

Finally, a panel of members reflected on the group discussions, emphasising the importance of information exchange and practical lessons to support Monitoring Committees effectiveness. They suggested guidance on the selection of members, the importance of members understanding their role and the need for capacity building. Effective engagement and communication were key themes, highlighting the role of physical meetings and farm excursions in building relationships and understanding perspectives.

In summary, the event focused on enhancing stakeholder engagement and effective operation of Monitoring Committees in the implementation of CAP Strategic Plans, emphasising the exchange of information, capacity building, and the importance of clear communication for successful policy implementation.
