Calabria's 2022 annual evaluation report

The Calabria annual evaluation report of 2022 provides support for monitoring the implementation of the RDP. The aims is to provide, at the end of the year, an overall and analytical overview of the resources used, the measures implemented, the results achieved, the successes and any critical issues that may have emerged, the progress, adequacy and effectiveness of the strategy both by itself and to the general and specific objectives at the level of the focus area and measures.

The methodological approach was limited by the scope of the effectiveness analysis to structural measures (area-based measures, as a rule, do not include selection criteria). Data are provided on the scores for each support and for each applicable selection criterion. This also takes into account the characteristics of the analysed procedure (with reference to the very existence of selection criteria), the absolute number of submitted valid applications and applications accepted for funding, the relative statistical representativeness of both the group of applicants for funding and those not accepted for funding.

The data relating to the structure and the maximum scores awarded for the selection criteria are taken from the calls published online. In contrast, the analysed data relating to the declared scores and applications awarded for submitted support and their procedural progress were extracted from the Italian Informative Agricultural System (SIAN) database, which was up-to-date as of November 2021.

The report describes the focus areas activated by the Calabria RDP, formulates evaluation judgments for each and provides recommendations.
