Objectives
Use endogenous wild resources to find new solutions for the development of rural low densities areas of South Portugal.
Rural areas of south Portugal have a big scarcity of opportunities, due to the lack of resources, people, entrepreneurial attitude and the distance to the decisions centers. For other side these are areas with high biodiversity value. The opportunity was to understand if some of that biodiversity, or if some specific resources, could be converted to sustainable forest/agricultural production.
