Objectives
The project aims to optimize the methodology of implementation and management of multifunctional margins in the arable crops of dryland of Andalusia, having as main objective a sustainable management of the soil that allows to increase the capture of carbon and, consequently, contribute to the mitigation of climate change The implementation of multifunctional margins in rainfed herbaceous crops is a source of multiple environmental and agronomic benefits for the soils where they are located, with direct repercussions on their sustainability.
Objectives
El proyecto pretende optimizar la metodología de implantación y gestión de márgenes multifuncionales en los cultivos herbáceos de secano de Andalucía, teniendo como objetivo principal una gestión sostenible del suelo que permita aumentar la captura de carbono y, en su consecuencia, contribuir a la mitigación del cambio climático. La implantación de márgenes multifuncionales en los cultivos herbáceos de secano son fuente de múltiples beneficios medioambientales y agronómicos para los suelos donde están ubicados, con repercusiones directas en la sostenibilidad de los mismos.
Activities
Implementation of three demonstration farms; monitoring of soil organic matter and soil organic carbon stocks; monitoring of erosion and runoff and moisture levels; monitoring of biodiversity in agricultural holdings; Organization of divulgative events and publication of the guide of good farming practices for the implantation of multifunctional margins in the arable crops of dry land in Andalusia.

Puesta en marcha de tres fincas demostrativas; seguimiento de la materia orgánica y de los stocks de carbono orgánico del suelo; seguimiento de la erosión y escorrentía y de los niveles de humedad; seguimiento de la biodiversidad en las explotaciones agrarias; organización de actos divulgativos y publicación de guía de buenas prácticas culturales para la implantación de márgenes multifuncionales en cultivos herbáceos de secano en Andalucía.
