Objectives
The aim of the project is to develop and test a data and IT-based decision-making tool that brings together data from various sources. The aim is to identify cows for which drying off with the use of antibiotics is essential.

Ziel des Vorhabens ist die Entwicklung und Erprobung eines Daten- und IT-basierten Entscheidungsinstruments, welches Daten aus verschiedenen Quellen zusammenführt. Damit sollen Kühe identifiziert werden, bei denen ein Trockenstellen unter Einsatz von Antibiotika unverzichtbar ist.
Activities
To achieve the objective, it is necessary to develop a database for processing information on udder health, to develop and establish interfaces that enable automated data exchange and to develop a device-independent user interface, including for any manual entries. This tool is to be tested and improved in five suitable farms as part of a case-control study, taking into account new pathogenicity markers for mastitis pathogens.

Zur Zielerreichung ist die Entwicklung einer Datenbank für die Verarbeitung der Informationen zur Eutergesundheit, die Entwicklung und Etablierung von Schnittstellen, welche einen automatisierten Datenaustausch ermöglichen, und die Entwicklung einer geräteunabhängigen Benutzeroberfläche, auch für evtl. manuelle Eingaben, notwendig. Dieses Instrument soll in fünf geeigneten Praxisbetrieben im Rahmen einer Fall-Kontroll-Studie erprobt und verbessert werden, wobei auch neue Pathogenitätsmarker für Mastitiserreger berücksichtigt werden.
