Activities
This EIP cooperation project consists of four work packages. These include optimizing cultivation techniques of protein crops and post-harvest treatments with food safety and quality assurance. A second work package focuses on product development. New organic products will be developed and existing products based on locally produced raw materials including the yellow pea will be reformulated. The third work package focuses on the marketing. The communication strategy will mainly focus on caterers. Finally, throughout the project the OG will develop a transparent, fair and sustainable partnership throughout the chain.
Activities
Dit EIP-samenwerkingsproject bestaat uit vier werkpakketten. In een eerste werkpakket wordt er gewerkt rond eiwitteelten en optimalisatie van de teeltechnieken en is er aandacht voor naoogstbehandelingen met borging van voedselveiligheid en kwaliteit. In een tweede werkpakket wordt er gefocust op de productontwikkeling. De aandacht gaat naar de ontwikkeling van nieuwe biologische producten en herformulering van bestaande producten op basis van lokaal geproduceerde grondstoffen waaronder de gele erwt. In een derde werkpakket is er aandacht voor de vermarkting van het uitgewerkte basisproduct. De communicatiestrategie zal zich vooral richten op grootkeukens en cateraars. Tot slot wordt er in een vierde werkpakket doorheen het project gewerkt rond het ontwikkelen van een transparant, eerlijk en duurzaam samenwerkingsverband doorheen de keten.

The main objective of the EIP Cooperation project is to operationalize a sustainable and fair F2B (farmer to business/farmer and SME) collaboration between a small cooperation of organical farmers Biograno and a local processor La Vie Est Belle, for the cultivation and processing of local protein crops into an organic and innovative/distinctive commodity with which consumers (via retail) and local foodservice companies can creatively engage.
De hoofddoelstelling van het EIP Samenwerkingsproject is het operationaliseren van een duurzame en eerlijke F2B (farmer to business) samenwerking rond de tweespan Biograno-La Vie Est Belle. Dit voor de teelt en verwerking van lokale eiwithoudende gewassen tot een biologisch en innovatief, onderscheidend basisproduct waarmee consumenten (via supermarkten) en lokale foodservice bedrijven creatief aan de slag kunnen.
