Activities

The project, in line with the objectives of the Emilia-Romagna Region’s 2023-2027 CAP RDP call, aims to mitigate the impacts of climate change in agriculture. The aim is to address three key thematic areas through experimental activities at partner farms:

Mitigation of water stress, using fungal consortia and myorrise and algae extracts.

Improvement of nitrogen use efficiency and reduction of nitrification oxide by the use of nitrogen-fixing bacteria and nitrification inhibitors.

Implementation of sustainable phytosanitary defences, using Trichoderma and Bacillus amyloliquefacens.

In parallel, varietal trials will be conducted at STUARD and UniCatt, with a focus on sustainable pest management and water stress mitigation, respectively. The involvement of different entities, such as OI, SSICA, UniCatt and AZIENDA STUARD, will ensure administrative support, assessment of the effects of processing and conduct of testing, contributing overall to promoting more sustainable and climate-resilient farming practices.

Activities
