Organic multi-actor projects

There are many Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe projects focusing on the theme of organic farming. Take a look at just a few examples below:

Check out their practice abstracts (summaries of management strategies) and videos. Many more materials including podcasts and e-learning courses will be published in the coming months.

Bresov explores the genetic diversity of three of the economically most significant vegetable crops (broccoli, snap bean and tomato) to improve the competitiveness of these three crops in an organic and sustainable environment.

The Organic Farm Knowledge platform provides access to a wide range of tools and resources about organic farming that can help improve production. It also aims to serve as a virtual meeting place for cross-border learning.

LIVESEED improves performance of organic agriculture by boosting organic seed and plant breeding efforts across Europe.

RELACS finding solutions to phase out the dependency on and use of inputs considered contentious in organic farming systems.

ECOORCHARD (funded by ERA-Net CORE Organic Plus Funding) developing innovative design and management to boost functional biodiversity of organic orchards.

The PPILOW project aims to co-construct through a multi-actor approach solutions to improve the welfare of poultry and pigs reared in organic and low-input outdoor production systems.
