Slovenian Network
The strategic orientation of the Slovenian CAP Network is to support the implementation of the CAP Strategic Plan 2023-2027 through different networking and communication tools.
The Slovenian Network follows objectives of the Common Agricultural Policy and at the same time responds to the needs of the programme area and follows a bottom-up approach.

Objectives
The objectives of the Slovenian CAP Network for Rural Areas derive from the needs as identified in the CAP Strategic Plan, CAP Network Strategy and follow the goals defined in Article 126(3) of Regulation (EU) 2021/2115 on strategic plans:
- Contribute to the information of the public and potential beneficiaries on the CAP and funding opportunities;
- Contribute to improving the quality of implementation of CAP Strategic Plans;
- Increase the involvement of all relevant stakeholders in the implementation of CAP Strategic Plans and, where relevant, in their design;
- Foster innovation in agriculture and rural development and support peer-to-peer learning and the inclusion of, and the interaction between, all stakeholders in the knowledge-exchange and knowledge-building process;
- Contribute to monitoring and evaluation capacity and activities and contribute to the dissemination of the results of CAP Strategic Plans;
- Accompany the Member States’ administrations in the implementation of CAP Strategic Plans and the transition to a performance-based delivery model.

Who can join?
Membership is open to everyone - individuals and organisations.
How to get involved?
Network members or anyone else can send initiatives or proposals for activities that are in line with CAP Network objectives.
Governance
The CAP Network Support Unit / Office: implements and coordinates the activities and tasks of the Slovenian CAP Network. It is seated within the CAP Strategic Plan Managing Authority.
The CAP Network Steering Group provides guidelines for the operation of the Slovenian CAP Network. It represents various stakeholders and sectors. The steering group is appointed by the minister responsible for agriculture. It consists of representatives of 23 organisations.
