In the 2014-2022 programming period, Managing Authorities (MAs) and Monitoring Committees (MC) in every Member State monitored the implementation of the Rural Development Programmes (RDPs). A similar process will take place in the 2023-2027 programming period for the CAP Strategic Plans.
These summaries were developed by the previous European Network for Rural Development (ENRD) and continued by the EU CAP Network, presenting the state of play and progress in the implementation of the Rural Development Policy using the most up-to-date information on monitoring indicators (financial and target indicators). The data come from the Annual Implementation Reports (AIR) submitted to the European Commission by the Member States on an annual basis up until June 2024. Information on the additional funds introduced from the European Recovery Instrument (EURI) is included in the summaries in 2021 onwards. Information on monitoring indicators includes:
- planned public expenditure and targets;
- financial execution (realised expenditure and % progress); and
- realisation of targets (based on realised expenditure and % progress).
