Support for farmers and rural stakeholders under the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) in Hungary is managed in the 2023-2027 period nationally through their CAP Strategic Plan (CSP), funded under the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF) and national contributions.
The CAP 2023-2027 follows a performance and results-based approach built around ten objectives, which frame the EU countries’ CAP Strategic Plans. These combine targeted interventions addressing specific needs and delivering on EU-level objectives.

Hungarian Network
The Hungarian CAP Network aims to involve farmers, public administration, advisors, research and innovation experts in the implementation of the Hungarian CAP Strategic Plan. Its primary role is to inform both the general public and potential beneficiaries about the CAP’s objectives, as well as the interventions and funding regulations related to agriculture, forestry, food production and rural development.
To facilitate this work, the network operates dedicated support units focused on key horizontal priorities of the Strategic Plan: rural and regional development, innovation and digitalisation, and green structures. These support units function under the coordination of the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture.
