On this page you can find information about support for farmers and rural stakeholders under the CAP in Hungary.

Support for farmers and rural stakeholders under the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) in Hungary is managed in the 2023-2027 period nationally through their CAP Strategic Plan (CSP), funded under the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF) and national contributions.

The CAP 2023-2027 follows a performance and results-based approach built around ten objectives, which frame the EU countries’ CAP Strategic Plans. These combine targeted interventions addressing specific needs and delivering on EU-level objectives.

The Hungarian CAP Network aims to involve farmers, public administration, advisors, research and innovation experts in the implementation of the CAP Strategic Plan. The main tasks of the network is to inform the public and potential beneficiaries about the objectives of the CAP, and about the interventions and their financing rules applicable to agriculture, forestry, food production and rural development.

The Hungarian CAP network provides support units - responsible for Rural and Regional Development, Innovation and Digitalization, and Green Structures -, which horizontally cover the main topics set out in the CAP Strategic Plan. The support units of the National CAP network are coordinated by the Ministry of Agriculture.
