Evaluation of support for broadband expansion in Sweden

This is a partial report from the evaluation of broadband support for Swedish countryside. The support consists of access networks financed by the rural program and local area networks financed by the European Regional Development Fund.

The report concentrates on the effects for entrepreneurs and models for control of the expansion. The municipalities of Lycksele, Sunne, Vara and Ystad have been studied more closely. In these municipalities stakeholders were interviewed and entrepreneurs responded to a survey.
