Objectives

Project objective is the use of biomass for obtaining of environmentally friendly plant protection products and soil additives.

Activities

1. Development of products, in demand on the market – plant protection products and multifunctional soil additives, using logging residues, obtained as a result of forest care as raw material;

2. As an alternative to pesticides, investigation of the antimicrobial activity of natural polyphenols – proanthocyanidins and evaluation of their effect on the protection of tree seedlings and crops against pests and diseases during growth;

3. Assessment of the effect of gently enzymatically modified biomass residues, enriched with micro-and macro-elements from sea buckthorn fruit squeezing remainders, on growing of forest reproductive material, horticulture seedlings, vegetables and crops.
