Objectives
The aim of the VitiCE project is to work in conjunction with the UKVA to transfer research knowledge into a technologically innovative tool for improving productivity and sustainability in English vineyards.
Activities
Project VitiCE proposes the development of a single innovative technological tool, an interactive application (app), to tackle two of the key problems faced by English vineyards, namely vulnerability to adverse weather events and poor inter-grower knowledge exchange. Both these challenges negatively affect productivity in the sector

Context
Data captured will also help the operational group better understand what is happening 'on the ground' in English vineyards in real-time. Ultimately the project will facilitate growers to learn from each other and combat problems associated with growing grapes in a marginal climate.
