Kontext

Le contexte concerne une filière caprine régionale en croissance, jouissant d'une dynamique d’installation qui attire les industriels laitiers nationaux. En parallèle, les AOP régionales sont régulièrement confrontées à un manque de producteurs avec des contraintes d’autonomie fourragère à respecter dans leur cahier des charges. Les systèmes de production régionaux sont encore insuffisamment autonomes sur le plan de l’alimentation des troupeaux et ainsi particulièrement exposés aux aléas économiques. Enfin le contexte sociétal évolue, conduisant la filière à s’inscrire dans une démarche RSE, avec un plan national orienté vers la transformation des modes de production.

Objectives

Accompany the transformation of goat production systems in the region towards a greater sustainability, while ensuring secure income for farmers who engage in this strategy. Create a goat sector R&D dynamic at the region scale by networking some groups of motivated farmers and mobilizing a multidisciplinary network of researchers and advisors; The project also aims to capitalize on and disseminate the experience of 20 farmers ready to improve their forage self sufficciency through different ways of redesigning their forage systems.

Activities

Action 1 covers the activities locally conducted with groups of farmers in each department. It mobilizes them and the team of advisors in charge of accompanying their system redesigning projects.Action 2 covers the coordination and management of the operational group at a regional scale. It mobilizes the regional coordination team and 6 local agents. Action 3 covers capitalization, communication and transfer activities to disseminate the acquired knowledge to the farmers in the region, prospective new goat farmers and agricultural high school students.
