Objectives
Measure A - Concept development:
Aim of the project is to develop a concept which addresses the following questions:
• Which framework conditions/infrastructure must be established for the research project?
• Which test methods have proved efficiency with regard to the storage of compost extract?
• Which extraction techniques are well usable and target-oriented?
• Which application techniques are user-friendly and promising?

Maßnahme A - Konzepterstellung:
Im Hinblick auf das Verfahren „Johnson-SU-Kompost" soll ein Konzept erstellt werden, welches folgende Schwerpunkte aufgreift:
• Welche Rahmenbedingung/Infrastruktur müssen für das Forschungsvorhaben erstellt werden?
• Welche Prüfverfahren bewähren sich bezüglich der Lagerung von Kompost Extrakt?
• Welche Extraktionstechniken sind gut brauchbar und zielführend?
• Welche Applikationstechniken sind anwenderfreundlich und erfolgversprechend?
Activities
The following project activities are planned by the stakeholders as part of the concept development for Measure A:
- Planning of formulations development for the Johnson-SU compost, the compost extract and various solid application forms.
- Analysis and further development of test procedures for the storage of these components.
- Development of a process plan for the use of different application techniques in combination with different application methods.
- Planning of the randomised exact trials.
- Planning and determination of the biological investigations of the Johnson-SU eluates.
- Testing and determination of the best test methods for the soil.
Activities
Im Rahmen der Konzepterstellung zu Maßnahme A sind seitens der Akteure folgende Projektaktivitäten vorgesehen:
• Planung zur Entwicklung der Rezepturen für den Johnson-SU Kompost, das Kompostextrakt sowie verschiedener fester Ausbringformen.
• Analyse und Welterentwicklung von Prüfverfahren für die Lagerung dieser Komponenten.
• Entwicklung eines Verfahrensplans zum Einsatz verschiedener Ausbringtechniken in Kombination mit verschiedenen Ausbringverfahren.
• Planung der randomisierten Exaktversuche.
• Planung und Festlegung der biologischen Untersuchungen der Johnson-SU Eluate.
• Testung und Bestimmung der besten Untersuchungsmethoden für den Boden.
Kontext
On most agricultural land, the soil microbiome is weak and fungi in particular suffer under current management practices. Dr. David C. Johnson (New Mexico State University), the founder of the "Johnson-SU compost", has shown in trials in New Mexico that this method can reduce a large part of the known NPK fertilisation and pesticides. Therefore it shall be test, how Johnson-SU compost promotes a revival of microbiome under the regional conditions and thus leads to improved plant health.
Auf den meisten landwirtschaftlichen Flächen ist das Bodenmikrobiom schwach ausgeprägt und besonders die Pilze leiden unter der gängigen Bewirtschaftung. Dr. David C. Johnson (New Mexico State University), der Begründer des „Johnson-SU-Kompost", hat in Versuchen in New Mexico gezeigt, dass mit diesem Verfahren ein Großteil der bekannten NPK Düngung und der Pflanzenschutzmittel eingespart werden kann. Es soll daher getestet werden, inwieweit der Johnson-SU Kompost unter den regionalen Bedingungen eine Wiederbelebung der Mikrobiom fördert und damit zu verbesserter Pflanzengesundheit führt.
