Contexte

Como objetivo general se pretende desarrollar las técnicas de reproducción asistida avanzada en bovinos para la cabaña ganadera extremeña, lo que permitirá la mejora y el aumento de la producción cárnica en la especie bovina en Extremadura,

Objectives

We intend to set up a pilot laboratory to start a program of eco-guided oocyte aspiration, maturation of the oocytes and their subsequent fertilization to produce selected genetic embryos. The surplus of embryos will be vitrified to be able to transfer them when the moment is propitious, thus producing a greater use of resources. Therefore, as a general objective is to develop the techniques of advanced assisted reproduction in cattle for Extremadura livestock, which will allow the improvement and increase of meat production in the bovine species in Extremadura and its purpose is to build, enable and train a team of veterinarians in charge of performing bovine IVF techniques.
