Objectives

One cause of the loss of entire bee colonies is the varroa mite. The chemical treatment of bees can lead to residues in honey. Alternatively, biotechnical methods can be used. These still have development potential. This project plans the network 'practical bee research' of researchers and beekeepers to develop innovative diagnosis and treatment strategies. An EIP-Varroa counter will also developed. This consists of a construction with a camera that takes a photo of a soil inlay in order to evaluate it on site and to make an infestation diagnosis. 

Objectives

Eine Ursache für die Verluste ganzer Bienenvölker ist die Varroa-Milbe. Die chemische Behandlung der Bienen kann zu Rückständen im Honig führen. Alternativ können biotechnische Methoden angewendet werden. Diese haben noch Entwicklungspotenzial. Dieses Projekt plant das Netzwerk „praktische Bienenforschung“ aus Forschern und Imkern, um innovative Diagnose- und Behandlungsstrategien zu erarbeiten. Auch ein EIP-Varroa-Counter soll entwickelt werden. Dieser besteht aus einem Aufbau mit Kamera, die ein Foto einer Bodeneinlage aufnimmt um es vor Ort auszuwerten und eine Befallsdiagnose zu erstellen.
