CirCOWlair
The CirCOWlair project aims to develop a tool for Overijssellse livestock farmers to connect land, crop and animal health themselves, making them a full interlocutor with their heirs. The aim here is to reduce the use of chemical fertilisers and organic fertilisers of improved quality so that there is less leaching from Nitrate as described in the aims of the PPLG. In addition, the farmer has more control over the health of the dairy cows, resulting in improved animal welfare and healthier products such as milk and meat.
Het project CirCOWlair heeft als doel het door ontwikkelen van een tool waarmee Overijssellse veehouders zelf de verbinding kunnen leggen tussen grond, gewas en koegezondheid wat hen een volwaardige gesprekspartner maakt van zijn/haar erfbetreders. Hierbij is het doel om minder kunstmest en organische mest van verbeterde kwaliteit te gebruiken zodat er minder uitspoeling is van Nitraat zoals beschreven staat in de doelen van het PPLG. Daarnaast heeft de veehouder meer grip op de gezondheid van de melkkoeien met als gevolg een verbeterd dierenwelzijn en gezondere producten zoals melk en vlees.
