"This project seeks practical solutions to the problems affecting borage crops in Aragon, with a direct focus on improving production and profitability for farmers and producers. Here are the most important points in a simple way:
• Quality seed: We are working to obtain borage seeds that are more resistant to disease. This means your crops will have fewer problems and will be able to produce more.
• Optimized solarization: We are seeking to make the solarization technique more effective for disinfecting soils by advancing its application to the months of May/June. This will allow you to have more crop cycles per year with fewer fungal problems.
• New tools against diseases: We are testing new products and methods to combat fungi that attack borage, such as Fusarium. This will help you better protect your crops and reduce losses.

Este proyecto busca soluciones prácticas para los problemas que están afectando a los cultivos de borraja en Aragón, con un enfoque directo en la mejora de la producción y la rentabilidad para los agricultores y productores. Aquí les presentamos los puntos más importantes de manera sencilla:
• Semilla de calidad: Estamos trabajando para obtener semillas de borraja que sean más resistentes a las enfermedades. Esto significa que sus cultivos tendrán menos problemas y podrán producir más.
• Solarización optimizada: Buscamos hacer más efectiva la técnica de la solarización para desinfectar los suelos, adelantando su aplicación a los meses de mayo/junio. Esto les permitirá tener más ciclos de cultivo al año con menos problemas de hongos.
• Nuevas herramientas contra enfermedades: Estamos probando nuevos productos y métodos para combatir los hongos que atacan la borraja, como el Fusarium. Esto les ayudará a proteger mejor sus cultivos y reducir pérdidas.

1 Practice Abstracts
The main objective is to obtain quality borage plant material and optimize new tools for the control of Fusarium and other pathogens that affect the crop. The project seeks to improve borage productivity, obtain competitive advantages and contribute to the sustainability of the crop. It has three main objectives: mass selection of borage and obtaining quality seed, optimization of solarization and disease prevention techniques, and the determination of a battery of tools against the main pathogenic fungi.
El objetivo principales obtener material vegetal de borraja de calidad y optimizar nuevas herramientas para el control de Fusarium y otros patógenos que afectan al cultivo. El proyecto busca mejorar la productividad de la borraja, obtener ventajas competitivas y contribuir a la sostenibilidad del cultivo. Tiene tres objetivos principales: la selección masal de borraja y obtención de semilla de calidad, la optimización de la solarización y técnicas de prevención de enfermedades, y la determinación de una batería de herramientas frente a los principales hongos patógenos.
