The research of the germplasm of wild Lavender plants available locally and the possibilities of transfer to cultivated ones, for a better adaptation to diseases and climatic factors and to obtain superior products through the processing of lavender. The practical result of this activity within the project will be the improvement of knowledge regarding the adaptation of lavender crops to diseases and climatic factors and the processing of lavender, through distillation, of superior products compared to existing ones. Germplasm research aims to create a link between the adaptation of lavender crops to diseases and climatic factors and the quality of the products obtained through lavender processing

The partnership will develop automated organic lavender harvesting equipment, which will be controlled automatically, semi-autonomously, by remote control / computer / smart phones / smart devices, and which will reduce harvesting costs, generating superior lavender products.

The practical results are:

- increase of productivity and implicitly decrease of the cost price related to the harvest;

-increasing the quality of the harvested material;

increasing the comfort of those who perform the lavender harvesting operation;

- by digitizing the lavender harvest, a uniform development and protection of the culture will be ensured;

- the expansion of lavender cultivation contributes to the protection of the environment because lavender crops fix poor and dry, permeable and calcareous soils;

- cultivation of different varieties / varieties / cultivars of lavender, local and / or local and imported, in order to establish their behavior, productivity, adaptability in identical climatic and pedological conditions;

- establishing and recommending the best existing varieties, available on the market, in the pedo-climatic conditions in Romania, in order to assist farmers in choosing the most resistant and productive varieties.
