Objectives
The objective is the application of information and communication technologies through tele-management systems applied to irrigation, plant and soil control, in order to improve tomato production and quality. However, we have detected that there are great technological barriers for small and medium farmers since accessibility to technology depends largely on the cost of implementation and qualified training. Therefore, it is foreseen that thanks to the dissemination of the results of this project, more and more small- or medium-sized farmers can benefit from the modernization of both management and economic control of operating costs.
Objectives
El objetivo es la aplicación de las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación mediante sistemas de tele-gestión aplicadas al control de riego, de la planta y del suelo, con el fin de mejorar la producción y calidad de tomate. Sin embargo, hemos detectado que existen grandes barreras tecnológicas para los pequeños y medianos agricultores ya que la accesibilidad a la tecnología depende en gran medida del coste de implantación y de la formación cualificada. Por ello, está previsto que gracias a la difusión de los resultados de este proyecto cada vez más agricultores de tamaño pequeño o mediano puedan beneficiarse de la modernización tanto del manejo como del control económico de costes operativos.
Activities
Activity 1: Installation of control systems for data collection and storage and adaptation of software for decision making.
Activity 2: Establish and optimize cultivation conditions to improve the production and quality of tomato plant cultivation.
Activity 3: Analysis and interpretation of the data and implementation of algorithms that help the decision in fertigation programs.

Actividad 1: Instalación de los sistemas de control recogida de datos y almacenamiento de los mismos y adaptación del software para toma de decisiones.
Actividad 2: Establecer y optimizar las condiciones de cultivo para mejorar la producción y calidad del cultivo de plantas de tomate.
Actividad 3: Análisis e interpretación de los datos e implantación de algoritmos que ayuden a la decisión en los programas de fertirrigación.
