"The forestry sector, in the Abruzzo Region, although it has demonstrated a strong and indomitable "resilience" hence the title "INVICTA" has been in drastic reduction for years, both in terms of sales volumes and turnover, and of active operators. Throughout the region , but mainly concentrated in internal and marginal areas, there is a lively forestry supply chain made up of Municipalities, Owners, Managers, Cooperatives and Forestry Companies, in 2019 there are 292 forestry companies (ATECO 02).
Among these, the cooperative and association world certainly stands out, a pioneer in Italy, which started with the over thirty years of experience of the CO.L.A.FOR group. (Consorzio Lavori Agro-Forestali – www.colafor.net) which first brought together the laborers in cooperatives and then brought them together in the consortium, which turns out to be one of the most influential and active, with members and activities throughout Italy. The path continued with the establishment of the FOREST CONSORTIUMS (www.consorziforestali.net), mixed public-private structures shared by the municipalities and mountain communities, which mainly deal with forest planning and cutting in order to obtain firewood, both civic use by citizens and for commercial sale. In 2008, the network of forestry consortia was established, FORESTABRUZZO (https://www.consorziforestali.net/consorzi/forestabruzzo), a 2nd level consortium, which represents the most authoritative and qualified interlocutor in Abruzzo for everything relating to associated forest management.
The associative instrument in fact allows for a more rational management of the assets.
The Forestry Consortia in Abruzzo manage approximately 25 thousand hectares of forest area."

La moderna meccanizzazione forestale prevede l’utilizzo di macchine combinate capaci di agevolare tutte le lavorazioni boschive, dall’abbattimento fino alla produzione di legna da ardere o di tavole. Il riscorso a questi macchinari consente di restituire competitività alle lavorazioni forestali, di minimizzare gli impatti ambientali e di migliorare in modo decisivo la sicurezza sul lavoro. In quest’ottica, la meccanizzazione delle operazioni forestali diviene un imperativo etico, ancor prima che una necessità economica.

La meccanizzazione forestale è un settore in rapida evoluzione, per rispondere ai continui cambiamenti dei mercati (globalizzazione) e alle nuove e crescenti esigenze sociali ed ambientali. Cosa era innovativo ieri, oggi non lo è più: occorre adeguarsi velocemente per rimanere al passo con i tempi e non sprofondare nella crescente arretratezza a cui sembrano condannate le realtà economiche rurali e di piccola taglia. Ma non deve per forza essere così…

Gli interventi migliorativi si basano sull’adattamento, la razionalizzazione e l’integrazione dei sistemi e delle tecnologie di lavoro attuali, non sulla loro integrale sostituzione. In particolar modo, si pensa di proporre interventi, con crescente impegno e contenuto innovativo, affinché ciascun utente possa scegliere l’opzione più adatta alle proprie condizioni di lavoro e alla sua propensità per un’innovazione più o meno audace.
