Co.Bo.Fi. Collaborazione bosco-filiera per prodotti di pregio ad alta diffusione
Objectives
The Co.Bo.Fi project promotes collaboration between forest owners, forestry companies, woodworking companies, wood-based retailers and private customers with the common goal of experimenting with supply chain innovation in Piedmont for the creation of an innovative product, in 100% local wood, with excellent sales prospects also on international markets. The CoBoFi management model shows a positive economic return for every actor in the wood supply chain, including forest ownership.

Il progetto Co.Bo.Fi promuove la collaborazione tra Comuni proprietari forestali, imprese del settore forestale, aziende di prima e seconda lavorazione del legno, rivenditori di prodotti di alta gamma a base legno e committenti privati con l’obiettivo comune di sperimentare un’innovazione di filiera sul territorio piemontese per la realizzazione di un prodotto innovativo, in 100% legno locale, di ottime prospettive di vendita anche sui mercati internazionali. Il modello gestionale di CoBoFi mostra un ritorno economico positivo per ogni attore della filiera del legno, inclusa la proprietà boschiva.
Activities
CoBOFI will experiment new mangement models and production technologies starting from a 4ha local forest to produce a preproduction series. This process and product validation will be the basis for a business plan to reach a sustainable market share without requiring high risk investments. The business plan will verify the opportunity for the replication of the model on local/regional forests that will become again source of sustainable economic activities for high value wood products and for the creation of new business opportunities for the enterprises in the supply chain.
Activities
CoBoFi sperimenterà modelli gestionali e tecnologie di trasformazione su di un lotto iniziale di 4ha di bosco, con cui si realizzerà una preserie di qualche centinaio mq di parquet. La validazione di prodotto e di processo darà il via ad un business plan per raggiungere una quota di mercato sostenibile senza investimenti ad alto rischio. Con il Business Plan si verificherà la possibilità di replicare il nuovo modello gestionale su porzioni di bosco locale/regionale che tornerebbe a fonte di attività economiche sostenibili per utilizzi ad alto valore aggiunto e di creare nel breve termine opportunità di nuovo fatturato per le aziende della filiera.
