Objectives

The objectives of the project are to:
1. Evaluate technology hybridisation based on renewable energies and high-performance equipment to meet the energy requirements for still and sparkling wine production processes.
2. Demonstrate experimentally the economic and energy viability of the solutions studied in the pilot facilities.
3. Promote innovation and sustainability in the wine industry.
4. Increase the energy efficiency of wineries, promoting self-consumption.
5. Generate guides to good practices and dissemination mechanisms to replicate energy-saving strategies in wineries in Catalonia.
 

Objectives

Los objetivos del proyecto son:
1- Evaluar la hibridación de tecnologías basadas en energías renovables y equipos de alto rendimiento para cubrir la demanda energética del proceso productivo en la elaboración de vino y cava.
2- Demostrar experimentalmente la viabilidad económica y energética de las soluciones estudiadas en las instalaciones piloto.
3- Promover la innovación y la sostenibilidad del sector vitivinícola.
4- Incrementar la eficiencia energética de las bodegas, promocionando el autoconsumo.
5- Generar guías de buenas prácticas y mecanismos de diseminación para replicar las estratégicas de ahorro energético en las bodegas de Cataluña.

Activities

Action 1 - Analyse the energy status of wineries
Action 2 - Study of strategies for improving winery energy efficiency. 
Action 3 - Assessment of the impacts of the newly defined equipment configurations, applied to winery operation conditions and current infrastructure.

Action 4 - Analysis of the optimal energy equipment operation in the pilot plants, to determine the energy, economic and environmental impact obtained by applying smart control strategies

Action 5 - The same analysis will be carried out by extrapolating the experimental data to the rest of the wineries in Catalonia, to provide representative information on the sector, promoting innovation and sustainability in the wine industry.

Activities

Actuación 1 – Analizar el estado energético de las bodegas, estudiando la infraestructura energética de que disponen actualmente
Actuación 2 – Estudio de estrategias para la mejora de la eficiencia energética de las bodegas. 
Actuación 3 – Evaluación de los impactos de las nuevas configuraciones de equipos definidas.
Actuación 4 – Análisis de la operación óptima de los equipos energéticos de las plantas piloto, para determinar el impacto energético, económico y medioambiental que se obtiene aplicando estrategias de control inteligentes.
Actuación 5 – Se realizará el mismo análisis extrapolando los datos experimentales a la resta de bodegas de Cataluña.

Context

The evaluation and development of pilot tests in the EFENERVI project is crucial to optimising strategies for implementing hybrid energy sources and improving winery operation to maximise energy efficiency in still and sparkling wine production processes.
