Ontwikkeling duurzame vleeskuikenstal met ECO zero concept
Objectives
In this project, the new barn of a broiler farmer is equipped with the ECO Zero concept, this concept is a combination of a heat exchanger and an air scrubber. The first tests have shown that significant emission reductions can be achieved on particulate matter emissions and possibly also on ammonia. The barn to be developed will therefore serve as a test location to further develop the system and prepare it for the market.

Objectives
In dit project wordt de nieuwe stal van een vleeskuikenhouder voorzien van het ECO Zero concept, dit concept is een combinatie van een warmtewisselaar en een luchtwasser. Uit de eerste testen is gebleken dat er significante emissiereducties kunnen ontstaan op fijnstof-emissie en mogelijk ook op ammoniak. De te ontwikkelen stal gaat dan ook dienen als testlocatie om het systeem door te ontwikkelen en klaar te maken voor de markt.

Activities
In this project, a broiler house will be developed and tested, which will be equipped with an innovative ECO Zero concept. Since the ECO Zero concept is not yet ready for practical use for broiler houses, it will be adapted accordingly. During the project, the functioning of the system will be tested, monitored and indicatively measured to determine what the emissions are in practice. Attention is also paid to the realization of a complete farming concept including Home Hatching, new LED lighting that mimics daylight and attention to a low CO2 footprint.

In dit project wordt een vleeskuikenstal ontwikkeld en getest, die wordt uitgerust met een innovatief ECO Zero concept. Aangezien het ECO Zero concept nog niet praktijkrijp is voor vleeskuikenstallen wordt dit hierop aangepast. Tijdens het project zal de werking van het systeem worden getest, gemonitord en indicatief bemeten om te bepalen wat de emissies zijn in de praktijk. Daarbij is tevens aandacht voor het realiseren van een compleet houderij-concept met onder meer Home Hatching, een nieuwe LED verlichting die daglicht nabootst en aandacht voor een lage CO2 footprint.
Context
Om toekomstbestendige te worden is het van belang dat vleeskuikenstallen voldoen aan alle wensen en eisen van de toekomst. Wat betreft milieu en uitstoot, maar ook wat betreft maatschappelijke acceptatie, dierwelzijn en diergezondheid.
