Entwicklung eines Praxistools für Landwirte und beratende Fachkräfte zur Unterstützung betriebsspezifischer Eutergesundheitsstrategien
Objectives
For the continuous improvement or the maintenance of a good udder health of the herd a strategic-systematic approach is a prerequisite. All decisions regarding preventive measures in management, husbandry and feeding, as well as for the treatment of individual animals should be efficient and tailored to the individual situation. So far, there has been no suitable practical tool for doing so.
Objectives
Für die kontinuierliche Verbesserung bzw. den Erhalt einer guten Herden- Eutergesundheit ist eine strategisch-systematische Herangehensweise Voraussetzung. Alle Entscheidungen bezüglich präventiver Maßnahmen in Management, Haltung und Fütterung sowie zur Therapie einzelner Tiere sollten effizient und auf die individuelle Situation abgestimmt sein. Bisher gibt es hierfür kein geeignetes Praxiswerkzeug.
Activities
Farmers, veterinarians, consultants and scientists work together in the OG on the development of an innovative computer-aided tool for farmers. It is intended to assist farmers and their advisory specialists in dairy farms with making decisions regarding their individual udder health management. This tool will be applicable to both organic and conventional farms. In the case of udder health disorders, it leads to the derivation of farm specific recommendations for action and schedules of measures.
Activities
Landwirte, Tierärzte, Berater und Wissenschaftler arbeiten in der OG gemeinsam an der Entwicklung eines innovativen EDV-gestützten Praxistools. Es soll Landwirte und die beratenden Fachkräfte in den Milchviehbetrieben bei der Entscheidungsfindung im Rahmen ihres betriebsindividuellen Eutergesundheitsmanagements unterstützen. Dieses Tool wird sowohl auf ökologischen als auch auf konventionellen Betrieben anwendbar sein. Es führt im Falle auftretender Eutergesundheitsstörungen zur Herleitung betriebsspezifischer Handlungsempfehlungen und Maßnahmenpläne.
