Development of innovative technologies for cultivation and food production of ginseng and Chinese horseradich
Inovatīvu žeņšeņa un Ķīnas zirdzenes audzēšanas tehnoloģiju un pārtikas produktu izstrāde
Objectives
Create and support cooperation between agriculture, agricultural product processing industry and science, in order to:
1. develop innovative methods for cultivation of globally demanded medicinal plants (ginseng (Panax spp.) and Chinese horseradich (Angelica sinensis)) that are suitable for Latvia's agro-climatic conditions;
2. create new products based on ginseng and chinese horseradish;
3. disseminate knowledge gathered during the project via European Innovation Partnership network and other communication channels.
Objectives
Veicināt lauksaimniecības, lauksaimniecības produktu pārstrādes nozares un pētniecības sadarbību, lai:
1. attīstītu inovatīvas tehnoloģijas pasaules tirgos pieprasītu ārstniecības augu - žeņšeņa (Panax spp.) un Ķīnas zirdzenes (Angelica sinensis) - audzēšanai Latvijas agroklimatiskajos apstākļos;
2. izstrādātu jaunus uz žeņšeņa un Ķīnas zirdzenes bāzes veidotus pārtikas produktus;
3. nodotu projekta ietvaros iegūtās zināšanas dažādām mērķauditorijām Eiropas Inovāciju partnerības (EIP) tīklā un citos komunikācijas kanālos.
Activities
To reach the objective, project team will implement the following activities:
1. elaboration of cultivation technology for ginseng and Chinese horshradish within organic farming environment; development of experimental methodology; cultivation experiments; economical evaluation;
2. development of prototypes of new tea blends; creating of prototypes;
3. raising public awareness and dissemination of project results.
Activities
Lai sasniegtu projekta mērķi, plānots īstenot sekojošas aktivitātes:
1. audzēšanas tehnoloģiju izstrāde žeņšeņam un Ķīnas zirdzenei bioloģiskā lauksaimniecībā; izmēģinājumu metodiku izstrāde; audzēšanas izmēģinājumu veikšana; procesa un rezultāta ekonomiskais izvērtējums;
2. jaunu tējas maisījumu prototipu izgatavošana ar žeņšeņu un Ķīnas zirdzeni; zināšanu papildināšana un pieredzes gūšana; dažādu maisījumu gatavošana un tējas īpašību testēšana; prototipu veidošana;
3. sabiedrības informēšana un rezultātu izplatīšanas aktivitātes.

At the end of the project, the following results will be met: developed method for evaluation of ginseng and Chinese horseradish cultivation technologies; experiment of ginseng cultivation within the forest ecosystem and experiment of Chinese horseradish and ginseng cultivation within organic farming environment will be implemented; developed database of herbs chemical analysis; created 3 cultivation technologies (1 – for Chinese horseradish, 2 – for ginseng); purchased ginseng and Chinese horseradish samples from China; developed 2 prototypes of new tea mixtures including ginseng and Chinese horseradish.
Projekta ieviešanas laikā plānots sasniegt sekojošus rezultātus: izstrādāta metodika žeņšeņa un Ķīnas zirdzenes audzēšanas tehnoloģiju novērtēšanai; realizēts žeņšeņa audzēšanas izmēģinājums meža ekosistēmā; veikts žeņšeņa un Ķīnas zirdzenes audzēšanas izmēģinājums bioloģiskajā lauksaimniecībā; izveidota ķīmisko analīžu rezultātu datu bāze; izstrādātas 3 audzēšanas tehnoloģijas (1 Ķīnas zirdzenei un 2 žeņšeņam); iepirkti paraugmateriāli no Ķīnas; izstrādāti 2 jaunu tējas maisījumu prototipi.
