Kontext

In most crops, the removal of weeds in the streets is controlled by machinery employing both mechanical and chemical means. However, this machinery is not effective in combating weeds growing between trees in the same row. The main problem is to avoid the obstacles posed by trees and poles, in the case of greenhouses, Currently this area between trees is treated manually, either by chemical means or by physical means. The aim of this project is to develop a team capable of combating weeds within rows of trees and subsequently analysing their behaviour in growing citrus fruits under mesh. The great innovation of the project is the possibility of combining chemical and mechanical control mechanisms in the same equipment that can be used to combat weeds in citrus fruits.

Objectives

Development of a technique to control spontaneous flora for lemon cultivation under greenhouse. First, research will be carried out in which the efficiency of different methods used in weed removal and, in particular, how to combine chemical weeding with mechanical weeding, as well as its effect on the elimination of unwanted vegetation volume. The results of this research will have its direct application in the construction of a prototype machine that can perform the mechanical-weedingchemical in lemon cultivation under greenhouse.
