Entwicklung eines tierschonenden Verfahrens zur Blutentnahme beim Pferd unter Nutzung einer Röhrenzentrifuge (OG: One-Step Verfahren zur Plasmapherese beim Pferd „OneStep II“)
Objectives
Based on the results of the preliminary project, objective is the implementation of an animal-friendly device for plamapheresis, which is adapted to the physiological requirements of the horse and can be carried out in a one-step process. Until now the procedure on the stud farm has mainly been done manually and in several stages. In addition, the return of the corpuscular blood components is decoupled from the blood withdrawal process. The aim is therefore to establish an animal-friendly process in which blood can be taken through a one-step system and the return is an integral part of the process.
Objectives
Basierend auf den Ergebnissen des Vorprojektes, soll in diesem Vorhaben die Umsetzung eines an die physiologischen Anforderungen des Pferdes angepassten, tierschonenden Gerätes zur Plamapherese im One-Step-Verfahren erfolgen. Bisher erfolgte die Durchführung auf dem Gestüt hauptsächlich manuell und in mehreren Stufen. Hinzu kommt, dass die Rückführung der korpuskularen Blutbestandteile vom Prozess der Blutentnahme entkoppelt ist. Ziel ist es deshalb, ein tierschonendes Verfahren zu etablieren, in dem in Form eines One-Step-Systems Blut entnommen werden kann und die Rückführung integraler Prozessbestandteil ist.
Activities
Plasmapheresis is a procedure used to obtain blood plasma. In the pre-project, it was possible to provide an apparatus technology that largely meets the time and volume requirements. However, it was not possible to keep the erythrocytes vital, so that the aim of an one-step system was not achieved. Finding a solution that is suitable for routine use is focused in the planned project. Methodical approach are computer simulations that lead to constructive solutions. The consideration of the highest possible standard of animal welfare will consistently characterize the planned project.

Die Plasmapherese ist ein Verfahren, um Blutplasma zu gewinnen. Im Vorprojekt ist es gelungen, eine apparative Technik bereitzustellen, die die Zeit- und Volumenanforderungen weitgehend erfüllt. Jedoch gelang es nicht die Erythrozyten vital zu erhalten, sodass der Anspruch eines One-Step-Systems verfehlt wurde. Hier eine routinetaugliche Lösung zu finden ist Gegenstand des geplanten Vorhabens. Methodisch werden in diesem Kontext Computersimulationen angestrebt, die zu konstruktiven Lösungen führen. Die Berücksichtigung eines höchstmöglichen Standards des Tierwohls wird durchgängig das geplante Projekt prägen.
