Objectives
As part of the project, a network of hemp growing and processing companies in Thuringia and neighboring regions was to be built up and established. With the aim to process the seeds into valuable oils and proteins for human nutrition. The operational group dealed with the cultivation of hemp, cleaning, peeling and pressing of the hemp nuts, sensory analysis of the test oils as well as with product development, market analysis and publicity activities.
Objectives
Im Rahmen des Projektes sollte ein Netzwerk von Hanf anbauenden und -verarbeitenden Betrieben in Thüringen und angrenzenden Regionen aufgebaut und etabliert werden. Mit dem Ziel, die Samen zu wertvollen Ölen und Eiweißen für die Humanernährung zu verarbeiten. Die Operationelle Gruppe beschäftige sich mit dem Hanfanbau, der Reinigung, Schälung und Pressung der Hanfnüsse, der sensorischen Analyse der Pröbeöle sowie mit der Produktentwicklung, Marktanalyse und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit.
Activities
Sample oils were pressed and tested; conclusions about the post-harvest processes were evaluated as well as the pressing processes and hemp varieties compared. Due to unavailable technology, peeling tests before pressing, the production of hemp protein and the market launch could not be carried out during the project period.
Activities
Es wurden Probeöle gepresst und getestet, Rückschlüsse auf die Nachernteverfahren ausgewertet sowie Pressverfahren und Hanfsorten verglichen. Aufgrund von fehlender Technik konnten Schälversuche vor den Pressungen, die Erzeugung von Hanfprotein und die Markteinführung in der Projektlaufzeit nicht realisiert werden.
