Developing of mechanical protection means for young forest stands from sheep woll
Jaunaudžu mehāniskās aizsardzības līdzekļu izstrāde no aitu vilnas
Objectives
The aim of the project is to develop innovative forestry products at national level for the protection of tree bark/new shoots/roots against browsing, using animal husbandry by-products and processing, (yarn production) waste – sheep wool thus reducing long supply chains of alternative foreign protection means and integrating into the circular economy.
Objectives
Projekta mērķis ir izstrādāt nacionālā līmenī inovatīvus mežsaimniecībai paredzētos produktus koku stumbru/ pumpuru/sakņu aizsardzībai pret dzīvnieku apkodumiem rodot pielietojumu lopkopības blakusproduktiem un pārstrādes (dzijas) ražošanas atkritumiem – aitas vilnai, tādejādi samazinot alternatīvu ārvalstu aizsarglīdzekļu garās piegādes ķēdes un iekļaujoties aprites ekonomikā.
Activities
1. Develop protective means and set up experimental trials in several young stands of different ages, composition of species, as well as perform the first soil analyses on microbiological pollution;
2. Improve the prototype and carry out repeated tests on product prototypes Appropriate solutions are drawn from the obtained results as to what improvements are necessary. Prototype is improved and repeated tests on prototypes of the products are carried out;
3. At the same time, analysis of soil and protection means are carried out to ensure safety for human health and the environment.
Activities
1. Izstrādā aizsardzības līdzekļus un pēc iespējas jau ierīko izmēģinājuma jaunaudzes, ierīko izmēģinājumus vairākās dažāda vecuma, sugu sastāva jaunaudzēs, ka arī izdara pirmās augsnes analīzes uz mikrobioloģisko piesārņojumu;
2. Pilnveido prototipu un veic atkārtotus produktu prototipu testus;
3. Paralēli tiek veiktas augsnes un līdzekļu analīzes, lai nodrošinātu nekaitīgumu cilvēka veselībai un videi.
