Contexte

Activities

To meet our objectives, we will: i/ identify and evaluate innovative practices contributing to the strong mitigation of GHG emissions and carbon storage, ii/ carry out an inventory of ordinary biodiversity in goat farms, as well as levers for improvement, iii/ combine virtuous practices on agricultural soil, herd management, energy in particular to design ambitious goat systems for the mitigation of climate change and the preservation of biodiversity, iv/ evaluate the systems thus co-designed using a sustainability evaluation grid (economic, social and environmental) to determine the success factors and the obstacles to the deployment of these systems, v/ engage in an exchange with economic actors (breeders and dairies) but also users (consumers, environmental associations, etc.) to support the development of our systems,  and vi/ we will widely disseminate these results and the technical and technical-sustainability arguments.

1 Practice Abstracts

The challenge of our project is to offer goat breeders, future breeders and the goat industry, goat systems that are ambitious in their contribution to mitigating climate change, and also preserving biodiversity. These systems must be sustainable and adapted to the changing climate . They will also have to take into account the diversity of regional pedoclimatic contexts and existing operating structures.
