Activities
The aim of this project is to draw up a draft plan for the creation of a Fieldlab for the Bollen region (‘Fieldlab Bollenen’), focusing on space for cultivation experiments and social innovation in the form of a regional label in bulb cultivation (and possibly for dairy farming), thus contributing to a healthy agricultural sector for the whole of the Bollenan region. The Fieldlab Bollenregio to be set up aims to provide an overarching approach to sustainable and nature-inclusive bulb farming and livestock farming (in line with, inter alia, NSP, NPLG and ZH-PLG) and builds on the existing (currently project-based) cooperation between knowledge institutions, growers and public authorities in Living Lab B7. It aims to consolidate this existing cooperation and scale up the resulting demofield and to give it a more permanent integration in the region. Through cooperation, social innovation (in the form of a regional label), practical research and knowledge sharing, the Fieldlab Bollen region contributes to strengthening the area, the agricultural sector and promoting sustainability and innovation.

Dit project beoogt te komen tot een ontwerpplan voor het opzetten van een Fieldlab voor de Bollenstreek (“Fieldlab Bollenstreek“), gericht op ruimte voor teeltexperimenten en sociale innovatie in de vorm van een regiokeurmerk in de bollenteelt (en evt. voor melkveehouderij), waarmee wordt bijgedragen aan een gezonde agrarische sector voor de hele Bollenstreek. Het op te zetten Fieldlab Bollenstreek beoogt een overkoepelende aanpak te bieden voor een duurzame en natuurinclusieve bollenteelt en veehouderij (in lijn met onder meer NSP, NPLG en ZH-PLG) en bouwt voort op de bestaande (thans projectmatige) samenwerking tussen kennisinstellingen, telers en overheden in Living Lab B7. Het beoogt deze bestaande samenwerking te bestendigen en het hieruit voortgekomen demoveld op te schalen en een permanentere inbedding in de streek te geven. Door samenwerking, sociale innovatie (in de vorm van een regiokeurmerk), praktijkonderzoek en kennisdeling draagt het Fieldlab Bollenstreek bij aan het versterken van het gebied, de agrarische sector en aan het bevorderen van duurzaamheid en innovatie.

This project aims to arrive at a design plan for setting up a Field Lab for the Bollenstreek (“Fieldlab Bollenstreek”), aimed at space for cultivation experiments and social innovation in the form of a regional quality mark in bulb cultivation (and possibly for dairy farming), which contributed to a healthy agricultural sector for the entire bulb region.
