Objectives

The innovation project 'Conservation headland in Grassland' aims to resolve the conflict of objectives between the preservation of biodiversity and the increase in agricultural productivity by establishing small-scale conservation headland (5% area share). In the short term, this enables process protection on a small area, and in the long term, the sustainable and area-wide restoration of valuable grassland biocenosis. The overall goal is to integrate the process into the Hessian agri-environmental funding, to optimize its existing funding modules and to quantify biodiversity effects.
