Objectives

The aim of the project is to use the testing of new climate landscape typologies with inter-farm crop rotation management to model the holistic cultural landscape of the 21st century ecologically by changing the cultivation methods and crops and economically by establishing a coordinated crop rotation between different agricultural enterprises on the basis of the changed cultivation methods and crops in Thuringia.

Objectives

Ziel ist es, anhand der Erprobung von neuen Klimalandschaftstypologien mit überbetrieblichem Fruchtfolgemanagement die ganzheitliche Kulturlandschaft des 21. Jahrhunderts ökologisch durch Veränderung der Anbaumethoden und Kulturen und ökonomisch durch den Aufbau eines abgestimmten Fruchtfolgenanbaus zwischen verschiedenen Landwirtschaftsunternehmen auf Basis der veränderten Anbaumethoden und Kulturen beispielhaft in Thüringen zu modellieren.

Activities

Integrative measures are to be implemented to minimize climate damage, test adaptation strategies and increase regional added value for Thuringian processors through the higher proportion of climate-friendly field products. These measures include the testing of "keylines" (reduction of soil erosion) and "fresh air channels" (dissipation of surface heat) through the targeted planting of heat-resistant shrubs and plants.

Activities

Es sollen integrative Maßnahmen umgesetzt werden, um Klimaschäden zu minimieren, Anpassungsstrategien zu erproben und die regionale Wertschöpfung durch den höheren Anteil klimagerechter Feldprodukte für Thüringer Verarbeiter zu steigern. Zu diesen Maßnahmen zählen unter anderem die Erprobung von „Keylines“  (Verringerung von Bodenerosionen) und „Frischluftkanälen“ (Abführung von Oberflächenhitze) durch gezieltes Anpflanzen hitzeresistenter Gehölze und Pflanzen.
