Activities

This project proposes an innovative solution to reduce food waste by converting residue streams from HelloFresh into high quality proteins and fats through insect farming. These proteins and fats then serve as a sustainable diet on the poultry farm of the Leenders family in Swifterbant (Oranjehoen). This creates a circular value chain and reduces dependence on imported raw materials.

This cooperation between HelloFresh, Oranjehoen and Protix makes an important contribution to more sustainable food production. This project aims to provide an innovative and sustainable solution for the processing of food residues in the agricultural sector. Cooperation between HelloFresh, Oranjehoen and Protix creates a circular value chain, reducing food waste and strengthening the agricultural sector.


Activities

Dit project stelt een innovatieve oplossing voor om voedselverspilling tegen te gaan door reststromen van HelloFresh om te zetten in hoogwaardige eiwitten en vetten via insectenkweek. Deze eiwitten en vetten dienen vervolgens als duurzame voeding op het pluimveebedrijf van de familie Leenders in Swifterbant (Oranjehoen). Hierdoor ontstaat een circulaire waardeketen en de afhankelijkheid van geïmporteerde grondstoffen verminderd wordt.

Door deze samenwerking tussen HelloFresh, Oranjehoen en Protix wordt een belangrijke bijdrage geleverd aan een duurzamere voedselproductie. Dit project beoogt een innovatieve en duurzame oplossing te bieden voor de verwerking van voedselresten in de landbouwsector. Door middel van een samenwerking tussen HelloFresh, Oranjehoen en Protix wordt een circulaire waardeketen gecreëerd, waarbij voedselverspilling wordt tegengegaan en de landbouwsector wordt versterkt.
