Context
De voedselketen dient een belangrijke bijdrage te leveren aan het realiseren van de klimaatdoelstellingen . Naast het verminderen van voedselverspilling en het opwaarderen van reststromen is er ook behoefte aan het veranderen van het consumptiepatroon, om zo bij te dragen aan een duurzamer voedselsyteem

een integraal plan voor circulaire voedselketens. De kansrijkheid van ‘Food World Indoor’ en ‘Food World Pro’ wordt nader uitgewerkt met een brede groep potentiële partners. Het plan omvat fysieke locaties, innovaties rondom de verwaarding van reststromen, eiwittransitie, en gaat in op consumptiepatronen.
Activities
The project is working with various partners on residual stream processing, protein transition, consumer behavior, food waste and healthy eating. Collaboration with regional and external knowledge institutions and companies is being sought. The concept consists of four components:
- Food World Outdoor: Two centers focusing on food production, provenance, producer contact and innovation.
- Food World Indoor: Location in Nijmegen focused on healthy eating and food experience.
- Food World Pro: Professional projects for challenges, concept development and reducing food waste.
- Food World Community: Connects initiators, closes chains and promotes process innovation.
Activities
Het project werkt met diverse partners aan reststroomverwaarding, eiwittransitie, consumentengedrag, voedselverspilling en gezonde voeding. Samenwerking met regionale en externe kennisinstellingen en bedrijven wordt gezocht. Het concept bestaat uit vier onderdelen:
- Food World Outdoor: Twee centra met focus op voedselproductie, herkomst, producentencontact en innovatie.
- Food World Indoor: Locatie in Nijmegen gericht op gezond eten en voedselbeleving.
- Food World Pro: Professionele projecten voor uitdagingen, conceptontwikkeling en vermindering van voedselverspilling.
- Food World Community: Verbindt initiatiefnemers, sluit ketens en bevordert procesinnovatie.
