Objectives

The aim is to develop a system that help farmers to detect, follow up and document bug attacks. The innovation shall in an early stage be able to detect the appraoch of pests and make it possible to use more specific measures against a specific bug.

Målet är att utvecka ett system som hjälper odlare att detektera, följa upp och dokumentera insektsangrepp. Innovationen ska i ett tidigt skede kunna upptäcka inflygning av skadeinsekter och möjliggöra för effektivare åtgärder mot en specifik insekt. 

Activities

Develop a situationbased techinque for spreading the hormon that the bug is drawn to. This will be able to be controlled with parameters as temperatur, rain and wind. This will then lead the bugs to traps.

Utveckla en situationsbaserad spridningsteknik för hormon som insekten dras till. Detta ska styras utifrån parameterar som temperatur, nederbörd och vind. Detta ska sedan leda insekterna till fällor. 

Context

Idag kollar odlaren efter skadedjur manuellt och det krävs utbildning och tid för att det ska göras korrekt. Dessutom kan man då i princip bara se skadedjuren när skadan redan är skedd. Detta leder till att man får använda mycket bekämningsmedel, får sämre skörd och kvaliten på skörden blir sämre.
