Objectives
The construction of the "cow garden" dairy barn is part of a larger investment project. The barn shell is based on the Serrestall (French: winter garden) concept. A steel frame and a newly developed two-component roof membrane form the main components of the building envelope.

Die Errichtung des Milchviehstalls „Kuhgarten“ ist Bestandteil eines größeren Investitionsvorhabens. Die Stallhülle entsteht dabei nach dem Konzept Serrestall (frz.: Wintergarten). Dabei bilden ein Stahlgerüst und eine neuentwickelte Zweikomponenten– Dachmembran die Hauptbestandteile der Bauhülle.
Activities
This is the first time that this barn concept has been adapted to the climate and terrain conditions of a foothill region. Other special features include technological tests inside the facility. At the heart of the "Kuhgarten" are free-range exercise and lying areas with the High-Wellfare-Floor pasture floor and planted islands combined with cubicle exercise areas. Manure is removed using newly developed manure removal robots, the use of which is to be tested in the planned variety of ground conditions. It is therefore a particularly animal-friendly construction project that takes account of consumer demand for greater transparency, animal welfare and environmental protection.
Activities
Es erfolgt eine erstmalige Adaption dieses Stallkonzepts auf die Klima- und Geländeverhältnisse einer Vorgebirgsregion. Weitere Besonderheiten bestehen in technologischen Erprobungen im Inneren der Anlage. Kernstück des "Kuhgarten" sind freie Lauf- und Liegebereiche mit dem Weideboden High-Wellfare-Floor und Bepflanzungsinseln kombiniert mit Liegeboxenlaufstallbereichen. Die Entmistung erfolgt über neu entwickelte Entmistungsroboter, deren Einsatz in der geplanten Vielfalt der Bodenbedingungen zu
erproben ist. Es handelt sich somit um ein besonders tiergerechtes Bauvorhaben, das dem Verbraucherwillen nach mehr Transparenz, Tierwohl und Umweltschutz Rechnung trägt.
