Application of new technologies for the productive innovation of charcoal from Extremadura and its sustainable development with the environment

Contexte
Cooperación tecnológica de las empresas del sector del carbón vegetal de Extremadura para el desarrollo de prototipos que permitan la reducción de consumo energético y la aplicación de nuevas tecnologías para la innovación de su proceso productivo
Objectives
To promote the technological cooperation of companies in the charcoal sector in Extremadura for the development of prototypes of charcoal ovens that allow the reduction of energy consumption and the application of new technologies for the innovation of their production process, adapting traditional ovens to these processes without having to undertake large investments in other types of new ovens, thus achieving the diversification of its activity towards other marketable uses of products and by-products other than barbecue charcoal, for its competitiveness and the fight against climate change.
Objectives
Promover la cooperación tecnológica de las empresas del sector del carbón vegetal de Extremadura para el desarrollo de prototipos de hornos de carbón que permitan la reducción de consumo energético y la aplicación de nuevas tecnologías para la innovación de su proceso productivo, adaptando los hornos tradicionales a dichos procesos sin necesidad de tener que acometer grandes inversiones en otro tipo de hornos nuevos, logrando así la diversificación de su actividad hacia otros usos comercializables de productos y subproductos distintos al carbón de barbacoa, para la competitividad del mismo y la lucha contra el cambio climático.
Activities
1- Adaptation and technological innovation of current charcoal kilns through the development of a prototype, with reduced emissions.
2- Market launch of new products and by-products derived from coal.
3- Creation of a platform of producers around the green and circular economy, for the use of coal by-products and the generation of opportunities for technological cooperation in this field.
4- Action plan for the sustainable use of the pastureland, which avoids the overexploitation of resources in areas with a high concentration of producers.
Activities
1- Adaptación e innovación tecnológica de los hornos actuales de carbón vegetal mediante el desarrollo de un prototipo, con reducción de emisiones.
2- Lanzamiento al mercado de nuevos productos y subproductos derivados del carbón.
3- Creación de una plataforma de productores entorno a la economía verde y circular, para el aprovechamiento de los subproductos del carbón y la generación de oportunidades de cooperación tecnológica en este ámbito.
4- Plan de acción para el aprovechamiento sostenible de la dehesa, que evite la sobreexplotación de los recursos en zonas de alta concentración de productores.
