App-gestütztes Tierwohlmanagement auf Basis von täglicher Tierkontrolle und betrieblicher Eigenkontrolle schweinehaltender Praxisbetriebe
Objectives
The aim of the project is the development of an app-based management tool both for the company’s self-control according to animal protection laws as well as for the daily animal control according to animal protection and the keeping of production animals regulation for pig husbandry enterprises. Both processes should be combined and interlinked to provide farmers with a management tool for animal welfare and, at the same time, an early detection system for changes in animal welfare (animal welfare check pig).
Objectives
Ziel des Projektes ist die Entwicklung eines App-gestützten Management-Tools sowohl für die betriebliche Eigenkontrolle nach Tierschutzgesetz als auch für die tägliche Tierkontrolle nach Tierschutz-Nutztierhaltungsverordnung für schweinehaltende Betriebe. Beide Prozesse sollen kombiniert werden und ineinandergreifen, um Landwirten ein Managementwerkzeug für Tierwohl und gleichzeitig ein Früherkennungssystem bezüglich Veränderungen des Tierwohls an die Hand zu geben (Tierwohl-Check Schwein).
Activities
The practical animal welfare management tool is planned with daily and quarterly survey grids and indicators and developed and tested within the framework of the project with farmers. The tool corresponds to the future demand of the practical enterprises not only to use the required documentation for storage, but also as the basis of an effective controlling. At the same time, the tool helps to evaluate the animal welfare in the sties based on facts and to communicate it, e.g. to final consumers.
Activities
Das praxisfähige Tierwohlmanagement-Tool wird mit täglichen und quartalsweisen Erhebungsrastern und Indikatoren geplant und im Rahmen des Projektes mit Landwirten entwickelt und erprobt. Das Werkzeug entspricht dem zukünftigen Anspruch der Praxis, die erforderliche Dokumentation nicht alleine zur Aufbewahrung, sondern auch als Grundlage eines effektiven Controllings einzusetzen. Gleichzeitig hilft das Werkzeug, das Tierwohl in den Ställen faktenbasiert zu bewerten und z.B. an Endverbraucher zu kommunizieren.
