Context
Ondanks de grote en stijgende vraag is er in Nederland geen noemenswaardige professionele notenteelt. Vrijwel alle walnoten en hazelnoten worden geïmporteerd, terwijl het Nederlandse klimaat en de omstandigheden zich toch uitstekend lenen voor de productie van walnoten en hazelnoten. Daarnaast behoeft het beoogde notenproductiegebied in gemeente Lingewaard een nieuwe landschappelijke invulling waarbij de notenteelt ter aanvulling of ter vervanging van bestaande agrarische activiteiten kan dienen.
Objectives
1. Collaboration: The collaboration with the current project / initiative group (CropEye, municipality of Lingewaard, Van Hal Larenstein University of Applied Sciences and Zandse Notengaard) as the starting point has been and will be expanded step by step with producers in 't Zand and this will continue to grow in the coming years.

Objectives
1. Samenwerkingsverband: Het samenwerkingsverband met als startpunt de huidige project/initiatiefgroep (CropEye, gemeente Lingewaard, Hogeschool Van Hal Larenstein en Zandse Notengaard) is en wordt stapsgewijs uitgebreid met producenten in ’t Zand en dit zal verder uitgroeien gedurende de komende jaren.

Activities
The following number of activities are carried out to achieve the objective:
• Formation of a project-based partnership: organizations and entrepreneurs are involved from the partner group of this project application that can contribute to the realization of a short nut chain.
• The joint formulation of a project plan aimed at innovations of a short supply chain: once the partnership has been drawn up, the possibilities for the realization of a short nut chain can be inventoried.
Activities
Voor de realisatie van de doelstelling worden de volgende aantal activiteiten uitgevoerd:
- Vorming projectmatig samenwerkingsverband: vanuit de partnergroep van deze projectaanvraag worden organisaties en ondernemers betrokken die bij kunnen dragen aan de realisatie van een korte notenketen
- Het gezamenlijk formuleren van een projectplan gericht op innovaties van een korte voorzieningsketen: wanneer het samenwerkingsverband is opgesteld, kunnen de mogelijkheden voor de realisatie van een korte notenketen geïnventariseerd worden.
