On 17 September 2026, from 13.00 to 15.00 CEST, Tools4CAP will hold its tenth and final Academy module online: “From knowledge to practice: introducing the Tools4CAP Handbook for the next generation of agricultural policy”.

The module comes at a timely moment, as the next CAP programming period approaches in a changing policy landscape shaped by the future Multiannual Financial Framework, the introduction of National and Regional Partnership Plans, and discussions on the CAP Chapter.

The session will focus on the Tools4CAP Handbook of Good Practices, one of the project’s key outputs, designed to support policymakers, managing authorities, paying agencies, researchers, advisors and other CAP stakeholders in their daily work.

Using the first chapter of the Handbook as a starting point, the module will explore how strategic planning for agricultural policy is evolving. It will examine the move from evidence-based to evidence-informed policymaking, reflect on the experience of the current CAP Strategic Plans, and present the main discussions currently taking place on the post-2028 framework, including the proposed NRPPs and the CAP Chapter. The session will conclude with an interactive discussion on the governance issues likely to influence future strategic planning.
